  • I have completed two Road Scholar trips with my granddaughter. When she was nine, we did Mountains, Music & Magic in the Great Smokey Mountains, TN. Lots of entertainment and go-behind-the-scene adventures.

This year, she is now 10, we attended the three island adventure in St. Simons, Jekyll & Sapalo Islands, GA. More educational in nature (vs. entertainment), but she had a great time learning about sea life, reptiles & ghosts! This program has several opportunities for adults and kids to split up (typically adults for historical tours, kids for educational fun) and then join back as a whole 1-2 hours later. Kids are well supervised.

From first hand knowledge, I can definitely recommend either of these programs.
