Ever spend Christmas with Road Scholar in the Grand Canyon? Good time?

We have spent two or three Christmas holidays at Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon (and a couple of Thanksgivings). Amazing because of the international community staying at the campgrounds or in the bunkhouses. Except for Christmas and Thanksgiving, the evening meals at Phantom are choices always the same--hiker's stew, steak, vegetarian chili. But on the holidays it is a full turkey/dressing/etc feast. Reservations are a must. Because of the length of the hike down to the Colorado River, you also need overnight reservations for camping or lodging (bunkhouses or cabins). Fabulous experiences.
