I'm over 50 and have been riding for 10 years now. My first motorcycle, for a little over a year, was a 1982 Honda Nighthawk - men of a certain age, including at the border coming in from Canada to the USA after a trip, would walk over and REALLY want to talk about how it was their first bike or the bike they so wanted once upon a time. Now, I ride a KLR 650. I do a 2000+ road trip each year, along with my husband (on his vintage Honda Africa Twin), camping most of the way. Our most recent trip was a motorcycle Tour of Northern California & Southwestern Oregon in September 2019: 11 days, 10 nights, 2095 miles through Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, McArthur Burney Falls State Park, Salmon River Road between Somes Bar and Cecilville, California, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, California state road 36, Empire Mine State Historic Park and Grass Valley, Downieville, Modoc National Forest, and Bear Camp Coastal Route in Josephine County, Oregon.
I'd love to hear from other motorcycle travelers about where you like to go and your recent trips.
