What are airline restrictions for intra-China flights?

As I am looking up battery pack policies for American airlines, I'm wondering what the restrictions are for the domestic Chinese flights we will be taking.  So far, the only thing I know is knitting needles are not permitted.

Appreciate any info, Jackie

Each time we flew or took the train, our wonderful guide MeiMei went over with us what should be packed in our carry-on and what should be packed in our checked luggage. It varied. But the concerns were sharps of all kinds, batteries and battery operated equipment, and liquids, pretty much in that order. Sometimes it seemed odd, like sometimes the sharps needed to be in your carry-on. Just do what your guide tells you and all will be well.
