Suggestions for viewing and reading:
(1) "The Caves of Périgord" -- Novel is set in 3 time periods: a prehistoric village and the cave painters; French Resistance using the caves in WWII; and present-day researchers trying to verify a WWII souvenir that might be prehistoric art.
(2) The Bruno: Chief of Police series of murder mysteries, all set in the Perigord and Dordogne with beautiful descriptions and excitement in areas we will see on this trip.
Have you discovered streaming TV channel MHz? It's a collection of mysteries filmed in a number of European countries. Available through Amazon Prime or Roku. I especially love two series set in France: "Murder In..." and "Captain Marleau." Both move around to different areas in France, with gorgeous photography.
Included in "Murder In..." is an episode (Series 4) called "Murder in Rocamadour." It takes place in this hillside town where we will be spending two nights. It also has quite a few scenes shot in the Gouffre de Padirac. Gorgeous photography.
I'll be on the Sept 5-18 tour. Anybody else?
