Hi Everyone, Is there anyone out there that is traveling on this voyage? I know this message is quite early for some. But, I'm so anxious to chat with members, and, even those members that have previously attended this voyage.

We did buy cancel for any reason insurance. If the Louvre is closed, we will cancel, whether or not RS does ....

The Louvre was shut today and there will be meetings tomorrow with the security guard's union representatives. They weren't satisfied with just being given hand sanitizer. They want masks as well. It is not shut for good.

The US CDC is saying masks are ONLY for those already infected and for health care personnel not for the general public for preventive reasons.

The Louvre security guards also went on strike last July because there were too many people being admitted to the museum. That did result in the Louvre insisting on timed entries for admission which seemed to satisfy the guard's union.

For a trip that is nearly 12 weeks away I'd not consider cancelling. I'd wait and see.

I see this program does not actually have the Louvre, d'Orsay or Orangerie on it's itinerary but they are very easy to see on your own. I hope you'll plan on spending a few extra days in Paris. You'll want to get timed entries to the Louvre before you travel but you'll not need timed entries for d'Orsay or Orangerie. As time gets closer, I'm happy to give advice on ticketing for these 2 museums as well.

Looks like a fun cruise! I did some of the sights in Provence on a program last October and had a wonderful time.

    ~Pam
