On my new e-visa I got about a week ago for $75, the processing took about a week
they have a referral phone number ...+91-11-24300666 on my "INDIAN e-VISA" .... this is how the visa is described on their paper work.
Also ..on their form it said >>>>>>For any assistance contact e-VISA support center at indiatvoa@gov.in.

Let me know how it works out for you, they maybe busy with the holidays or some computer glitch.

Hi Pamela, this is fun! My name is Stephanie. I live in MInnesota. Yes, yes, it is cold here. Was 50 below zero windchill 3 days ago....thank you for the contact data below. I tried the # and got put on hold, but someone emailed me back telling me to contact the AXIS people and gave me another email address. This is just nuts!! I've not had a problem getting a visa before or paying for it!! I will see what the next email brings from India.....I am really surprised because India is sooooooooooooo tech savvy..... I forget. Will you be doing the teaching English thing too?

Well I know Road Scholar is not answering the phone until 1,2,18 (holidays).
But they will in an emergency. That is what I heard on their phone line.
So maybe this tue or wed everything will be back to normal on various web sites/phone numbers !?
I'm 59, going to India alone, Hubbie dosn't want to go, I'm taking the ...The Best of India: Treasures of the North and South TOUR on feb 10th.
I won't be teaching English on this tour.

Hi Pamela. I am sorry I won't get to meet you this trip. I am 63, widowed. This is my first RS adventure. I don't usually take vacations as such. I do quite a bit of international travel for missions though. I am awaiting a reply from the actual credit card processing service that the India gov site uses.....if I don't get something soon I can try the pay pal thing.....dunno how to do that but I am hoping it will be self explanatory!!

Hello, Stephanie and Pamela! This is Etta again. Pamela, I am going on the same trip as Stephanie. Wish you were joining us.
Stephanie, regarding PayPal. I used it as I said earlier, but it was my husband's already established account. So I can't tell if it's easy to set up. By the way, he has chosen not to go either.
Waiting for the visa to get done is anxiety producing! Etta

Hi Etta, What's with these guys anyway????? The only thing that would keep me from coming is if I get called to Bangladesh to help with the Rohingya. We women are always in the majority on every trip I've ever made anywhere. And they say we are supposed to be the "homebodies" !!!

If you still have trouble with your visa you could try calling the India Embassy in the USA !

Hello, Did you use passportvisaexpress, or the CKGS website or the Indian Consulate or another third party facilitator?
  • In reply to bill_perry051843:

Hi Bill, I used the INdian visa site. It's been so long I can't remember the link. It was funky, but it eventually worked. Hope you like your trip!!
