Best time and weather to visit Vietnam and Angkor Wat

In 2017 I went to Thailand, Cambodia (including Angkor Wat) and Vietnam (as far north as Hanoi and Halong Bay). While the temperatures were warm, it was certainly tolerable. And we had no rain. Enjoy your trip! Linda

Hello... Are you going to Vietnam in January? I have some of the same questions.

We arrive in Vietnam on November 26 and depart on December 19. If you go in January, check when the Tet holiday is (held over several days) and whether you want to be there then.

how was you trip? any recommendations for me traveling to Cambodia and Vietnam in Feb 2020? did you bring only US dollars? did you get a local SIM card for phone?

Are you one the Feb 10 - 24th tour? If so, my name is Anne Wagner, Portland, OR & I'm signed up too. Have recently learned that Travelex, the currency exchg people in our area, were hacked and are not providing Viet/Camb currency at this time. Guess I'll just have to pick it up there. (Shrug) Will be interested if you find something different....Nothing I can say on phone. Decided to go with my phone's int'l plan.

My wife and I are scheduled for this same trip--although we are scheduled to go through Hong Kong to Vietnam and have not had word yet about what happens with cancellation of this flight. I communicated with the Vietnamese Embassy and they said there is absolutely no concern about getting Vietnamese money ahead of time as it can be easily obtained at the airport upon arrival. Neither Triple A nor Bank of America are supplying the exchange.
