Then I will see you there. I'm also a midwesterner - just outside Chicago. Are you a frequent traveler? I am hoping for nice weather as the miswest is usually so cold Jan-Feb.

Yes , frequent traveler, mostly Europe; but this is my first Road Scholar trip outside of the US. Traveled Spain and Portugal many, many years ago by rental car and staying at Pousadas and Paradores ( government owned and operated historic hotels). I also hope for good weather, but expect some rainy days in February. Happy New Year!
