Beyond the Vineyards: Sample Northern Portugal and Spain

I would appreciate reviews of this Road Scholar trip.  What did you do in your free time and any restaurants that were special.  I am will be going on the October 14th trip and would like to connect with other people in the group.

    We took this trip last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was not as much free time as we thought. There were some impromtu trips planned by our guide. One was a train trip and another was a boat trip to see mussels harvested. We sampled the just harvested mussels. Amazing. The "evening at leisure" came to be a bit of a joke because the group dinner usually ended at 10 pm. Some went out after dinner but most went back to their rooms. Loved Portugal. The people were so friendly. Lunch at the Villar was so much fun.
