Quintessential Britain Questions

Did anyone who took the trip in the summer find issues with the hotel(s) that are not air conditioned?  I wasn't sure how many of the hotels didn't have air conditioning.  We are planning a July trip and were considered.  Also, I saw something about laundry facilities on Day 12.  What did that consist of and was it an easy process?  Packing for 19 days seems daunting.  Thanks.

  • There were only two hotels that did not have air conditioning. One was a country inn in Mickleton so it was great to open the window. The other was in Chester. The hotel gave us a fan to put in the window and it helped. (We were there in June). The laundry was fantastic. We put everything we wanted cleaned into a garbage bag provided by the teamleader—8 pounds per bag. He took it in the evening after dinner and it was returned the next afternoon clean and folded.
