Rooms with a view

There are two concerns regarding hotel rooms on this trip. The first is that there is not the smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The second is whether not it’s possible to request a room with a view of the water? On my previous RS trips I’ve looked out my hotel window at hotel walls or hotel back alleys while the others in my group have lovely views of the seaside or the town.  Could hotels be assigning rooms in alphabetical order? In that case, I would always get whatever was left over after the good rooms are filled. Sometimes it looks that way but  I’m optimistic that my Egypt trip will not have this unjust system - if that’s even what’s really happening!

  • I think hotels generally try to group the RS people together in one area to simplify baggage distribution. All the hotels are lovely, luxurious even, so if you don't like your view, spend more time in the lobby or by the pool. Always interesting people to see.
