Vaccinations for Best of India

Sandy: I have the same Q. Any suggestions from anyone? I am going Jan. 30 and have not started my reading. Maybe after I do I'll have an idea. Will also look at the State Dept. foreign travel recommendations

My immunizations are OK but I'm getting conflicting advice on whether it would be overkill to take malaria pills as recommended by CDC, including because of their side effects; the fact we are staying mostly in urban areas; and the risks of malaria are diminished in winter. Would welcome any feedback.
