This morning I received an e-mail stating my long-awaited trip to Ephesus & the Greek Islands has been cancelled. It was supposed to depart in only 9 days! The e-mail did not specify why the trip was cancelled very, very last minute and instead instructed me to call Road Scholar. I left a message hours ago and no one has returned my call. This is frustrating because I have taken PTO from work and do need to figure out when I'll be refunded in order to book another vacation.
It's impossible to reach anyone by phone and I do need Road Scholar to call me.
Hopefully you have received an official answer from RS at this point, but I learned on the Facebook Road Scholar group page that the Aegean Odyssey cruise ship was experiencing mechanical issues. Several May 2022 cruises have been cancelled as the ship is moored in Athens for repairs. RS has announced that they anticipate the repairs will be completed mid-May and that inspections will be made by RS to assure that the ship is ready to return to service before resuming tours. My wife and I are booked on an Aegean Odyssey cruise in July, therefore we have been following this developing story.
