Can't join Trip Discussion from Upcoming Programs page

Same problem. Can't get there from upcoming. Can't go to North America to discuss. Not all states are there and now some discussions are being held in the wrong state for the programs. Can look for your program number in the discussion board and hope to find something.

Replying to my own issue. LOL. I found a semi workaround. Open your account. Select your upcoming trip. Click on the name of the trip. On the top right choose Discuss. It opens a discussion on the trip. May not be your specific dates but better than nothing at this point.

Hi - I had an issue with accessing the discussion board for my trip & emailed RS about it around mid-June. It appears to be fixed. I logged in, selected my trip & then clicked on Trip Discussion. It took me to a discussion board about the specific trip & dates for which I signed up. You may want to email RS about the error message you're receiving.

I did report via email and on phone; not sure what's up. Just tried and same error. I am using Google Chrome as my browser.

I still can not get to my discussion board and I leave in 4 days. Have used workaround to get to general discussion from trip detail page but not from my account. I had found them very helpful in the past.

When I go to My Account, and select Past Trips, and try to sign in to the Discussion Board, I found that it has NEVER worked. I reported this to RS multiple times, but it is still not working months later. Could someone from RS please update all of us?

Hi, I think is best if you have "no expectations" for access to their "discussion board" because if you read any of

the postings it doesn't exist-I wonder what their afraid of.

I don't understand why it is not working and has never worked. On the old Web site, it worked. The only problem with the old version was that it showed your real name and possibly the date you would be gone, so that was a security risk.

Hello, it appears at one point you were a member but were somehow removed. We have re-added you to the discussion for your past trip and hope you enjoyed it very much!

It took 3 phone calls and several emails over 3 weeks, but it's working for me now.

I was able to get to my program discussion for several weeks...no longer able to get there - getting that same error message...surely someone at RS should be able to fix this recurring problem...please help!

Same problems with discussion boards and it’s 5 months later. I don’t think RS cares about making the site better. It’s buggy and needs a lot of work.

I cleared my cache (even though I don't know if that has anything to do with it). This is how I'm trying to access the Discussion Board for my upcoming trip. I found that when I emailed contact@roadscholar.org, provided them with the name, program # and date of the program in which I'm registered, along with my order number (found on my Upcoming Trips page), and asked them to give me access to the Trip Discussion for that program, I had access within a couple of days.

I realize we should not need to take that step, but, at least for me, it worked.
