The problem with many other solutions is medical evacuation.  If you are in France or Great Britain, you probably could get great medical care.  However, if you are in an exotic place with poor or no medical care, you will need a medical evacuation to the US.  That will be $100,000 and upwards.  AON is not the only travel insurance which offers a travel policy with evacuation.  There are a number.  I have used and collected from ALIANZ with no problem.  It appears that AON will cover trip changes which require changing your airline flights.  Most will not cover that. RS claims that buying their airline flights and their trip insurance protects you from risks not covered by others.  I am not sure whether or not that is true.
