Are our deposits at risk or are they kept in an escrow account?

I just received a call today and was told that my May trip was cancelled. I asked for a refund. The fellow told me he didn't think I could get a cash refund since my $1000. was from a voucher given to me from another trip THEY cancelled a year ago. HE SAID HE WILL CREATE A CASE FILE THAT WOULD GO TO THOSE IN CHARGE. 

They've gain interest on my $1000. for a year and now they want to keep it longer.  Any suggestions on how to get A CASH REFUND?

Hello, I've reviewed the account and found that the $1,000 voucher applied to the May 2021 program was given because of a participant-elective cancellation during the no-fee transfer period for a program in 2020 (i.e. the enrollment was cancelled due to participant request before we suspended the program). We are researching what will happen with the voucher because of the May 2021 suspended program. We will get back to you via email. Warmly, Melissa W. 

In 2019, when I first called RS, I was told I would never lose my money.

In 2020 I was told that the Costa Rica trip was going to be cancelled. I said more money was due,  I did not want to put any more money down...was told that I could cancel now and my money would still be good. When I called again, I was told the voucher would be held for another trip. I called many times. Didn't know what to do.

When i received the call a week ago, I was told there would be a case file opened and they would get back to me.. I've not hear anything since. Do I need to file something with the attorney general office as was suggested? Or do I need to contact legal aid in order to get my money?

I trusted RS...they were responsive when I asked about trips...but when I asked for my money back???

I'm still teaching part-time on line. Teachers I've spoken to said they thought RS was a solid outfit and can't believe RS could be so nasty.
