I put $1000 deposit on a RS cruise then my husband decided as he contracted Covid aboard The Aegean Oddessy RS Cruise he wasn’t ready to cruise again so 7 days after I booked I called to Cancel. No refunds or Credits is the policy I was rudely informed. ( unlike previously) very disappointed in RS policy
That doesn't make sense. On your enrollment email it should indicate what your options were to cancel. I don't do cruises so perhaps their penalties are higher.
We canceled our Odyssey Greek cruise the day before the balance was due in July 2019 We also had purchased the “trip protection” plan which is NOT INSURANCE and neither the EXPENSIVE protection plan nor Road Scholar, who subsequently CANCELLED this trip, would refund our $1,200 deposit. Those who paid the balance received a FULL REFUND. So our deadline to use our credit is approaching, but I am immunocompromised and still cannot travel safely. Doctors orders. I have been on MANY Road Scholar trips and have raved about them to many friends and coworkers. Not anymore. Mark Cuban got it right: the way you treat your customers today will determine your future success. Like others have posted, I now warn people about RS inflexibility during unprecedented times, and their promotion of their “trip protection” plan which is overpriced and completely useless. I will resume travel in the future, but not with RS. There’s plenty other options out there!
I would contact RS. I am sure given your medicL status something may be worked out.
