We recently got the Chase Sapphire Reserve's credit card to use on our Road Scholar trips and just found out today that Road Scholar uses an EDUCATIONAL designation rather than a TRAVEL designation. This means that none of the travel we purchase on RS with the Chase card is covered under the travel benefits, including the travel insurance benefits, the 3X points, etc.
PLEASE CALL ROAD SCHOLAR AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS DESIGNATION! Or start using another travel organization.....
Hello KVduffield012945. I am signing up for a Chase credit card that will award a generous number of sign up points. A Chase banker told me she can't assure me that my 12K Road Scholar charge in January 2022 will be accepted as travel. I see your same situation was solved easily by calling. My question: if when I call to explain that RS is travel if they won't recognize RS may I reference you with your email address as proof? Thank you. email@example.com
