UPDATE 2022-02-19 Just returned from a trip where a participant set up a group and sent invites to all participants who provided their email. Many have posted to Tripcast A great app and wish all trips used
I was on a recent trip with RS and the group leader sent out a pre-program email inviting all to join an app called Tripcast. All who signed up could post photos they had taken, to share with others, who also signed up for Tripcast. Weeks after returning home people continued to post photos.
I now have pictures that I would not have captured myself. Maybe being on the wrong side of the bus, being distracted or just plain old not paying attention. We have also used app to ask others what camera? what lens?
If you have been on a trip using this app let RS know!!! This should be made available on all programs. If you have been on trip using Tripcast and think it was as valuable as I, let RS know.
Thank you, I took care of it. Warmly, Melissa W.
Thank you, I took care of both. Thank you for alerting me to them. Warmly, Melissa W.
Thank you all for the feedback in support of using TripCast. I've given this information to my leadership to share with Programming so it can be given to program coordinators and group leaders. Warmly, Melissa W.
Melissa, I'm concerned about the post from "Seatech" which appears to have a hot link to app development companies in Kenya and is a blatant advertisement for their business. I had reported it when it first showed up yesterday by using the "Report Abusive Posts" button but that does not seem to be getting to anyone who will remove spam/ad posts. There have been quite a few lately.
Thank you for checking on this.
Thank you so much! Do you think you could get someone to remove this 2-month old thread advertising cleaning services and the additional post for another cleaning service?

I don't know why these annoy me so much but they do. I'm on here every day and it aggravates me to see messy, spam posts.

The group leader for a trip I took in 2019 also did this after the trip. Unfortunately, very few people participated although many viewed the photos. I wish more had.
I used trip cast with RS on the walking Vietnam trip and it was started by the trip leader. It was a wonderful way to share scenes that I did not see and got beautiful photos taken by people who take better pictures than I. I wound up with over 800 photos some of which I downloaded and made an album of my trip.
On the latest trip I initiated the tripcast app half way into the program and some people joined but not all, it would have been better if RS made this an option on all programs for those who may be interested, or better yet have the group leader initiate the app. I saw beautiful photos that people shared at dinner but because they did not download them on Tripcast they are lost to me. It is much easier than sending photos via email or having to set up a Facebook account that the whole world can view.
Please RS highly suggest that the leaders use this highly valuable app.
