At Road Scholar, we’re always on the lookout for new ways for our participants to learn about the world. Do you have an idea for a new Road Scholar program? We created this discussion forum just for that purpose, and we’d love to hear from you. We’ll read every suggestion posted here, though we’ll only contact you if we need more information.

The Gullah culture! It spans from NC to GA and is prominent throughout the sea islands of S.C. Coastal Carolina University studies this extensively and would perhaps form a good partnership with road scholar. Coastal explores the roots of this culture even to africa, and has professors who hail from the African roots of Gullah. I have learned that Michelle Obama 's grandparents were Gullah people from the sea islands of South Carolina.
